A life lived with adventure is richer than any life of money — GC
IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
Glenn Charles, Adventurer, Photographer, and Speaker (that’s me) takes you on a visual journey of his more than 20,000 miles of human powered kayak and cycling adventures. His inspiring story is one of progression from lost soul to spirited journeyman; from carrying everything but the kitchen sink to modern day ultra light evangelist. Glenn’s has spent the last 12 years exploring remote and inhabited places using human power as his primary choice of transportation.
From a 7 month solo journey through the Inside Passage by kayak that started it all, to exploring lands far and near by bicycle such as Ireland, Morocco, England and many parts of the US.. With both images and words, he provides a unique and spirited perspective on not only the healing benefits of travel, but also the human perspective of having it all, loosing it all, and then finding your soul
For my 50th birthday I did a deep winter tour of Alaska on the Salsa Mukluk

This space is dedicated to those that wish to WANDER; those that appreciate CRAFTSMANSHIP; those that wish to tell STORIES; and most of all, to those of us past the ripe age of 50 that BELIEVE things are just getting good.
Simple 24 hour overnighter to the seaside cliffs refreshes my spirit
Multi day trip exploring the New England Fall Foliage
Here you will find ramblings about trips and gear; ruminations about a fine bottle of whiskey or wine; perhaps some images of watches or knives. You get a bit of inspiration and a bit of rambling and in the end hopefully a break from your day to day routine. What you take out of it is all part of the journey.
Glenn is also available for a variety of one on one and group sessions. Looking for someone to speak to your group, please use the contact page to get in touch. Have a small trip planned, and want a guide to come along, help take care of things, tell inspiring stories around the campfire, offer up some good wine or whiskey, then get in touch and lets collaborate. After all it is our Experiences that we will remember in the end.
