So much for daily posts :-)
It was a bold move on my part to even attempt to write on a daily basis. As can be seen, I have clearly not been able to achieve that goal…. However, like all things in life, goals are not absolutes. We are not perfect, and as in the tradition of Wabi Sabi, we must seek to find the beauty that lies within the imperfect.
In this spirit, I will continue to embrace both my goals, and my human imperfections, and in so doing, stress less about what I was supposed to do and instead embrace what was.
My journey to the Mid West starts in about 10 days and to say I am stoked is an understatement. I feel like the last 10 years have seen a bit of atrophy in so many parts of my life, that I truly need to jumpstart a few things, both professionally and personally.
I don’t know how it will work, or what will come of it, but I do know that for the next two months I am going to try and lay the foundation for the next 10 years of my life. This whole process starts by opening up a seasonal base of work and living in Bentonville Arkansas.
Over the past 4 years, this community has completely captivated my search for a location that could provide me with a new life work/play balance. An area rich in the arts and with natural beauty. A place where family, friends, community, and the bike all come together seamlessly.
Those that know me best, know that I prefer to jump instead of wade, so in the spirit of blindly jumping, here I go.
Peace-
