Life is in the details

For the last week i have been messing around with my macro photography lens, looking for the smallest of details to shoot. It is no secret how much i love finely crafted items, like titanium bikes, mechanical watches, pens, knives, furniture, and food.

A common thread through all of them is the detail and passion that a craftsmen or group of craftsmen put into the making of the product. For many, who are not obsessed with these things, the details are often lost in the noise of the object itself.

I have always appreciated these details, so it has been fun to challenge myself to look more closely at each object and find ways to capture in a photograph, the smallest of detail. My message to you, is take the time, see the whole for the sum of the parts and embrace the love that someone put into the making of the thing.

Peace,
